Mission Statement

The Alliance for Disability Awareness is established for the purpose of providing educational and social opportunities relating to the interests of students with disabilities, and promoting an increased awareness within the community of the abilities we each have.

What we do

The Alliance for DisAbility Awareness serves to educate the university and its surrounding community about various disabilities, including mental, physical, and emotional. We also aim to help those with disabilities by working to change current policies, and raising money and volunteering for organizations that focus on helping those with disabilities. This student organization does not seek to help its members directly, but, instead focuses on helping the disabled minority that has been largly ignored.

Check out our Events section to see if anything is coming up. Please also check out our Membership page if you would like to be added to our email list to recieve updates about our meetings and future events.

We aim to mentor new students with disabilities so we can share and learn from each other's experiences. If you are considering attending The University of Michigan - Dearborn and would like to talk with a current student, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to talk to you.
